Bergamo is divided in two distinct areas, each with a different atmosphere and history. The città alta (the high city) is full of steep small winding roads and around every corner is a breathtaking building or monument. If you want to explore the historical area during your stay for the conference then you will have to take the funicular railway down to the lower city and then either a taxi or public transport. Most of the hotels in this area are very small and do not allow group bookings but it is well worth the search to discover some family run establishments.

The lower area of the city (città bassa) is also full of history but since it is spread out over a bigger area offers more hotel accommodation. We have some group rates for some hotels near the conference locations but please take note:
