Bergamo is divided into two distinct areas, each with a different atmosphere and history. The Città Alta (high city) is full of steep small winding roads and around every corner is a breathtaking building or monument. If you want to explore the historical area during your stay for the conference, then you will have to take the funicular railway to connect to the lower city where the meeting is held or take a bus or taxi. Most of the hotels in this area are small and do not allow group bookings but it is well worth the search to discover some family run establishments, some of which of excellent standard.

The Città Bassa (lower city) is also full of history but, since it is spread out over a bigger area, it offers more options in hotel accommodation, varying from four stars to budget. We have some convenient group rates for major hotels at walking distance to the conference location but please take note: special rates are directly offered by the major hotels for the dates of the congress but we do not guarantee that you would not be able to find better rates directly on Internet.
