Olivier Gerbault

After studying medicine in Paris, where he won the “Médaille d’or du Concours de internat de Paris, Dr Gerbault became board certified in France in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with special diplomas in microsurgery and further training in endoscopic plastic surgery in Emory, Atlanta, USA. After a position as Ancien Chef de Clinique-Assistant à l'Hôpital Saint-Louis (Paris) he became Attaché en Chirurgie Plastique à l'Hôpital Notre-Dame de Bon Secours (Paris 14ème) et à l'Hôpital Jean Rostand.

Member of SOFCPRE (Société Française de Chirirugie Plastique, Reconstructrice et Esthétique) as well as of The Rhinoplasty Society, of ISAPS and ASAPS, he is secretary of IMCAS (International Master Course on Aging Skin, the largest and most influential international yearly conference dedicated to the field of aesthetic surgery and cosmetic dermatology, which welcomes over 2600 delegates in its yearly Paris meeting , as well as holds sessions in other parts of the world.

Following extensive training with his major mentors, Dr Gilbert Aiach and Dr Rollin Daniel, he developed a main professional interest in rhinoplasty, After being associate with Dr. Aiach in Paris in 2008, he is now in private practice in Vincennes and Paris, where he practises rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation and breast cosmetic surgery. He wrote several articles on rhinoplasty, especially on cartilaginous sutures and on the composite graft called DCF. He was coauthor of the reference french book on rhinoplasty with G. Aiach published in 2008: Rhinoplastie – voie d’abord externe, and also of the chapter on secondary rhinoplasty in the 3 set book: The art of aesthetic surgery, edited by F Nahai and published in 2010 (2nd ed). He is regularly invited to lecture on primary and secondary rhinoplasty techniques at the major international meetings around the world.
