Biography

Emmanuel Racy is an ENT and Head and neck surgeon certified in 1997 by the university of Paris France. After being fellow he has made 4 years of Chief assistant in Bicêtre Hospital and Lariboisière Hospital, Paris, France. Since 2001 he started a private practice in Saint jean de Dieu Hospital (Paris France) and kept academic work in 2 public hospitals: Bicêtre university and Fondation Rothschild hospital in Paris.

Main topics are quite specific:

  • Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (with an ophthalmologist Dr Bruno Fayet for 22 years) with 20 pubmed referenced papers.
  • Orthognathic surgery.
  • Bone Grafting (for maxillary and jaw implants).
  • Cleft lift and cleft palate repair (primary and secondary)
  • Sinus surgery and rhinoplasty.

He is working since 2008 in an Italian hospital in West Africa: Fatebenefratelli hospital of Tanguieta – Benin (West Africa). He has created a non-governmental organization (NGO) for medical aid and Agriculture development around this African hospital. His surgical work in Africa is on cleft lips and palate surgery and Giant ameloblastoma removal. 3D printed jaws are done to restore the anatomy. Since 2011 he is using powered tools for rhinoplasty, either by external or endonasal approach. He signed a contract with bien Air Switzerland for the promotion of their product: he is doing for 4 years live surgical courses in Bicêtre hospital (2 live rhinoplasties and 3D printed nose dissection). 42 surgeons (Ent, maxillofacial and plastic surgeons) have followed the instructional course. Bien Air Switzerland give a financial support to his NGO in Africa for that work ( no other financial contract). For the past 3 years, with the experience of international plastic surgeon congresses, he started a work on functional rhinoplasty, in particular on the internal nasal valve.
