CONTENTS

In this MasterClass we will review concepts of diagnosis, classification and treatment of nasal obstruction. Principles of nasal airway preservation, as well as restoration of nasal airway patency will be discussed. Primary and revision cases will be reviewed. In addition, the spectrum of nasal surgery (reconstructive, cosmetic) will be reviewed in the context of nasal function, including preservation rhinoplasty concepts.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Understand classic as well as new paradigms in nasal obstruction measurement
  2. Understand concepts for preservation of the nasal airway
  3. Understand steps for reconstituting the nasal airway
  4. Understand issues with regards to the midvault and lateral wall in preservation versus Joseph hump reduction
  5. Understand the role of patient-reported outcome measures in rhinoplasty
