Biography
Olivier Gerbault is a board certified plastic surgeon in private practice in Paris – Vincennes, France.
He’s specialized in rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation.
He wrote articles in scientific journals and books on rhinoplasty, especially on innovative techniques in rhinoplasty.
He has developed in 2013 a new instrumentation to ease and control bone surgery in rhinoplasty, and won a distinction in USA for this work on piezo surgery applied to rhinoplasty.
Olivier Gerbault is a member of the Rhinoplasty Society and the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe, but also an active member of the ASAPS, ISAPS, and of the two French societies of plastic and aesthetic surgery. He has been nominated visiting professor of the ISAPS in 2013.
Olivier Gerbault was a faculty member of the Bergamo open rhinoplasty course for the 6 previous editions, and has always used this major european meeting to give his first presentations in his pioneer works in rhinoplasty: on diced cartilage and DC-F in 2008, on transalar sutures and ethnic rhinoplasty strategy in 2010, on lateral crura transposition in 2012 , on ultrasonic rhinoplasty and trimeless tipplasty in 2014, on the full open approach and the refinements in ultrasonic open rhinoplasty and septoplasty in 2016, on ultrasonic rhinoplasty for dorsal preservation and the new concepts of bone surgery in 2018. In 2020, he will present the new piezo tips for closed ultrasonic rhinoplasty and for septal trimming in dorsal preservation, and the tip preservation through bidirectional tensioning.
