Dear Colleague, It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the Second Bergamo Biennial Open Rhinoplasty Course, specifically devoted to open rhinoplasty, whose Faculty includes reputed masters who mainly or exclusively practice the open approach. This intensive symposium will be practical in nature, and will focus in detail on state-of-the-art primary and secondary open rhinoplasty techniques, with due emphasis on aesthetics and function, in a personal and approachable format. A limited enrolment will encourage and maximize exchange between participants and Faculty. The course is aimed to all physicians performing nasal surgery, mainly plastic, ENT and maxillo-facial surgeons. It will cover in depth both the basics of the open approach for the beginner, as well as serve as a refresher and address refinements and specific advanced details for the proficient rhinoplasty surgeon. Lectures and videos will systematically analyze specific and sequential topics, with adequate time allotted for discussion with the audience and a maximal educational benefit. The personal approach to open rhinoplasty of each Faculty member will be emphasized, and interactive panel discussions and case analyses will add to a mutual learning experience. Live surgery, telecasted from the “Ospedali Riuniti”, will again be a highlight of the course due to its stimulating educational benefit, allowing a proper view of technical pearls and fine details, as well as continuous interaction with the audience. The First Bergamo Open Rhinoplasty Course, held on November 28-29, 2008 at the same location, counted a large international participation with attendees from 19 different countries, and enjoyed a positive response well beyond our expectations. In response to attendee requests and feedback from the evaluation forms, the Second Course will be even more comprehensive, being lengthened to two-and-a-half days in duration, and will include:
